Job Title: Extended Coverage Gate Coordinator

Position Description:

This position is responsible for overseeing the check-in and check-out process for all carriers, ensuring accurate documentation, efficient flow of inbound and outbound trucks, and supporting communication between drivers and dispatch. This role plays a key part in maintaining safety, accuracy, and operational efficiency at the gate.

Responsibilities:

· Coordinate the check-in and check-out of drivers, ensuring all entry and exit times are accurately recorded.

· Assist with driver dispatching, communicating assignments clearly and professionally.

· Utilize Track and Trace tools to monitor and trace customer orders based on lists provided by Customer Service Representatives.

· Serve as the first point of contact for drivers, addressing inquiries, resolving basic issues, and escalating concerns to management when needed.

· Monitor and communicate driver’s health and safety concerns, ensuring timely involvement of appropriate personnel.

· Input vehicle and route data from Samsara into the TMW system for tracking and compliance purposes.

· Regularly update container locations in a shared Google Spreadsheet to assist with yard check reconciliation.

· Help foster a positive working environment to support driver satisfaction and retention.

· Perform additional duties as assigned by management to support logistics and dispatch operations.

Working Conditions:

· Primarily stationed at the guard shack/gate area.

· May involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and vehicular traffic.

· Shift flexibility based on operational needs.

Requirements:

· Knowledge of Federal DOT regulations

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

· Self-motivated with minimal supervision

· Highly organized and able to perform under pressure

· Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment

· Professional demeanor with a strong work ethic

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• 3 years’ experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry
