Responsibilities

• Diagnose appliance issues accurately using schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting techniques
• Perform repairs on various appliances including refrigerators, washers, dryers, ovens, and dishwashers utilizing hand tools and power tools
• Install new appliances following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
• Conduct routine maintenance and preventative inspections to extend appliance lifespan
• Operate company vehicles such as box trucks safely to reach customer locations and transport equipment as needed
• Use ladder access and mechanical knowledge to reach difficult areas during repairs or installations
• Communicate clearly with customers about repair procedures, timelines, and maintenance tips while providing excellent customer service
• Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and electrical components with proficiency in electrical work and plumbing when necessary
• Maintain detailed documentation of service activities, parts used, and work performed for each job

Skills

• Strong understanding of schematics, electrical systems, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, ladder use, and equipment repair techniques
• Experience with appliance repair, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance operations (MRO) practices
• Ability to operate company vehicles including box trucks safely and responsibly
• Knowledge of electrical experience relevant to appliance systems and field service operations
• Skilled in reading ladder diagrams and electrical schematics for complex troubleshooting tasks
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Familiarity with equipment repair standards and safety protocols in a field service environment
• Experience working with service technician tools such as multimeters, gauges, refrigerant recovery machines, etc.
