Aptive is seeking a Multimedia Researcher to support client communications, outreach, and multimedia initiatives by identifying, researching, organizing, and managing digital media assets, including photographs, video, graphics, and other multimedia content.
Primary Responsibilities
Responsibilities include maintaining metadata and permissions within digital asset management systems, obtaining usage rights and clearances, fulfilling multimedia requests, supporting photography coordination, and advising staff on copyright, licensing, and usage requirements. The Multimedia Researcher works collaboratively with communications, video, web, and design teams to ensure multimedia resources are accurate, accessible, properly documented, and aligned with client communications objectives.
Minimum Qualifications

Based in Alexandria, Virginia, we support more than a dozen agencies including Veterans Affairs, Transportation, Defense, Homeland Security and the National Science Foundation.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting multimedia research, digital asset management, or media coordination activities.
- Experience using digital asset management systems such.
- Familiarity with copyright, licensing, and multimedia permissions processes.
- Experience organizing and maintaining metadata for digital assets.
- Strong research, organizational, and communication skills.
- Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud products.
- Experience supporting federal communications, media, or public affairs programs.
- Experience coordinating photography, video, or multimedia production activities.
- Ability to independently identify and source visual materials for communications campaigns and outreach initiatives.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility considerations for multimedia content.
- Experience supporting science, research, education, or technology-focused organizations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
