Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to expectant mothers during the delivery process, ensuring a safe and comfortable experience for both mother and baby.
Duties
- Monitor the health of the mother and baby throughout labor
- Assist with pain management techniques and comfort measures
- Administer medications as prescribed by the physician
- Assist with labor induction or cesarean sections when necessary
- Educate new mothers on postpartum care and breastfeeding techniques
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
Skills
- Experience in CT, ICU, or critical care settings is preferred
- Knowledge of infection control practices in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Cerner or Epic electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in high-stress situations such as critical care transport
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide compassionate care
- Experience in ambulatory surgery center or behavioral health settings is beneficial
Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract
Pay: $2,900.00 - $3,000.00 per week
