THE ROLE
As a Part-Time Youth Mentor, you’ll play a key role in our youth services program, supporting youth with disabilities in achieving their personal goals. Every day will be different, making this a fun and fulfilling opportunity for those passionate about making a positive impact.
SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION
- Hourly Rate: $16.35/hour
- Hours: 32-38 hours per week
- After-school programming: 2 p.m. - 7 p.m.
- Summer programming: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)
- Flexibility: Scheduling tailored to your availability
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Provide support to youth participants with disabilities.
- Assist during after-school hours (2:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.) and adjust to summer schedules (8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.).
- Work collaboratively with the Aptiv team to help youth develop independence, social, and life skills.
- Mentor participants one-on-one and in small group settings.
- Teach emotional regulation, coping, and anger management strategies.
- Maintain consistency, strong communication, and accurate, up-to-date documentation.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable transportation.
- Meet the State of Wisconsin’s minimum auto insurance requirements.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, including occasional weekend availability.
