🚨 Hiring: Senior / Principal Photodetector Product Engineer
📍 Locations: Ann Arbor, MI OR Lowell, MA (Onsite)
💼 Full-Time Permanent Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Photodetector Product Engineer with a strong background in optoelectronics/photonics to support product development, manufacturing, yield improvement, and product reliability activities.
🔹 Key Responsibilities:
• Support photodetector products through development, production, and sustaining phases
• Drive improvements in product performance, yield, reliability, and cost
• Work closely with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and test engineering teams
• Analyze manufacturing and test data to identify trends and improve processes
• Support new product introduction (NPI), failure analysis, and root-cause investigations
• Collaborate with internal teams and external manufacturing partners
🔹 Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of photodetectors and optoelectronic devices
• Experience with yield analysis, SPC, and reliability testing
• Hands-on experience with Python, MATLAB, SQL, JMP, or Excel for data analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in cross-functional engineering environments
🔹 Qualifications:
• Master’s or Ph.D. in Engineering, Physics, or related field
• 5 years of experience in optoelectronics/photonics product engineering
• Experience supporting products from development through production
