Role: Security Network Engineer
Location: Whippany, NJ (Onsite)
We are seeking a skilled Security Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network security, threat management, and ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage secure network architectures
- Monitor network traffic for security incidents and respond to threats in real time
- Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other security systems
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Troubleshoot network and security-related issues
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance overall infrastructure security
- Maintain documentation for network configurations and security procedures
- Stay updated with the latest security threats, tools, and best practices
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 5 years of experience in network security or related roles
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Hands-on experience with firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, etc.)
- Experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and endpoint security solutions
- Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
- Understanding of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
