Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Validation Test Engineer – Lab & Automated Systems with hands-on experience in lab test engineering and semiconductor product validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PCB design, product characterization, and hardware debugging, along with experience using test and bench equipment to validate high-performance semiconductor products. This role requires close collaboration with test engineers to collect and analyze data for product validation and characterization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct product-level validation and characterization for semiconductor products.
- Collaborate with test engineers to design and execute experiments on ATE (Automated Test Equipment) and lab setups.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to ensure product performance meets specifications.
- Perform hardware debugging and troubleshoot design or functional issues at the product level.
- Utilize bench test equipment such as Function Generators, VNAs/PNAs, Oscilloscopes, and Spectrum Analyzers.
- Support PCB-level testing and validation; work closely with design engineers to ensure manufacturability and performance.
- Contribute to the development of test plans, procedures, and documentation.
- Interface with cross-functional teams to provide feedback on product performance, design improvements, and test strategies.
- Leverage programming skills (C / C#) to automate test procedures or analyze measurement data.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
- Proven experience in semiconductor product engineering, lab testing, and validation.
- Hands-on experience with PCB design and product-level validation.
- Familiarity with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and lab test setups.
- Experience with bench equipment: Function Generators, Oscilloscopes, VNAs/PNAs, Spectrum Analyzers.
- Proficiency in hardware debugging and problem-solving.
- Programming knowledge in C and C# for test automation or data analysis.
- Strong experience in product characterization and data-driven analysis.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in high-speed digital, RF, or mixed-signal semiconductor testing.
- Knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity in product testing.
- Familiarity with test plan development, statistical analysis, and yield improvement.
