This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage and structured cabling systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in data center and MDF/IDF environments, adhering to industry standards for telecom infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Perform installation of low voltage and structured cabling for inside and outside plant
- Install conduit, cable tray systems, and hardware such as switches, servers, and other rack-mounted equipment
- Install wireless access points (WAP) and antennas
- Test, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage connections
- Install MDF/IDF/SIDF equipment including racks, cabinets, enclosures, UPS, and PDU
- Actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 3 years of experience working in Data Center and MDF/IDF environments
- 3 years of experience installing low voltage cable
- Experience and knowledge of industry standards in telecom and structured cabling, including cable management and fiber distribution
- Experience with structured cabling according to BICSI and/or Commscope certification standards
- Experience pulling and terminating LV cabling
- Experience installing conduit, hangars, or other cable routing methods
- Certification in BICSI, Commscope, or another industry standard
- Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Professional business communication and interpersonal skills
Desired skills:
- Bachelor's degree
- Commscope certification is a strong plus
Pay range:up to $45.67 per hour
