Project Specialist
Start: Immediate
Duration: 18 Months
Location: Hybrid from Pomona, CA with occasional site visits (usually once a month)
W2 hourly Pay rate: $40.41
Day-to-Day
- Scheduling Substation Programs projects (100 – 150 ) projects, each under $25M) with some level of complexity, Able to document delays to provide time impact analysis
- Required to develop schedules and incorporate schedules already in use for some parts of each project
- Expert at master integrated schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and calculating earned values
- Direct involvement in tasks necessary for successful project execution. Identifies problems and solutions. Collaborates to establish project objectives, timelines, risk analysis, milestones, and deliverables.
- Utilizes project controls in exercising schedule management, forecasting, performance monitoring such as variance analysis, maintaining schedules and project plans, identifying trends, and assessing performance against schedule targets.
- Organized and drives actions to resolve issues immediately or bring them to PM for action. Effective communicator is essential; data gathering will include many groups and contractors
Required Skills
- Must be Proficient in Primavera P6
- Must have 7 years’ experience in scheduling and capital projects/construction
- Must have Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Visio) and SAP
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, construction management, business, finance, or project management, or a combination of education, training, and experience, equivalent to a 4-year college
Desired: Utility experience/Substation utility experience is a plus.
Preferred: Construction management experience
