What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at Aptara?
Seeking a Program Manager to focus on improving customer experience and help drive and track internal and external training initiatives to ensure we deliver the improvements to customers. You will work cross-functionally with Customer and Field teams to prioritize and refine those opportunities and collaborate to implement pilot initiatives and/or updated processes and procedures.
You will:
- Complete moderate to complex problems and takes a new perspective on existing solutions, plans, and goals.
- Work independently on most issues.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Develop budget forecasts, conduct analysis in support of identifying budget variances and develop solutions to address.
- Develop new and ad-hoc reports, summarizes findings and recommendations and provides business insight.
- Provide directions on overall program plan and goals and be responsible for most/all deliverables within the program implementation plan
Pay: $90-95/hour W2
Start: ASAP
Duration: 11 months
Location: San Ramon, CA (Hybrid – some onsite visits/travel)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 6 years of strong program management and project management experience ideally within utility/energy industry
- Familiar with and have worked with Lean principles in previous positions (Lean/Six Sigma certifications is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills and Power BI or Tableau experience
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles / companies would be valuable
- Ability to assess data in multiple forms (text, numbers, etc.) identify opportunities for process improvement, identify and communicate a business case, and work cross-functionally to deliver on the identified solution
- Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines with limited resources
- Strong communication skills, particularly in relaying complex ideas/concepts to non-technical audiences
- Preferred: Knowledge of energy industry applications to local level customers, including energy issues, customer energy efficiency applications, and general customer information.
- Ability to communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of management.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects with demanding time constraints.
- Knowledge and understanding of business drivers.
- Demonstrated ability to manage or direct teams
- Ability to work within a Regulatory environment
- Ability to assess and recommend solutions for assigned projects
