Title: Instructional Designer
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $63-65/hour W2
Location: San Francisco Bay Area (25% onsite and monthly to quarterly travel required)
Responsibilities:
· Design and develop instructor-led training and on-the-job training.
· Leverage and apply established instructional design methodologies to assess stakeholder needs, analyze complex content, and evaluate delivered training.
· Develop learning materials for technical content, including hands-on practice activities, student guides, facilitator guides, scenarios, videos, assessments, simulations, and other instructional media.
· Perform a detailed task analysis for each job function, business process, or system for which training will be developed.
· Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments.
· Write clear and effective instructional text, audio, or video scripts appropriate for the target audience.
· Participate in meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings. Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback.
· Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Requirements:
· Must currently reside in Northern California
· Bachelor’s degree
· 3 years of instructional designer experience
· Experience with ILT Technical Training
· Proficiency with MS Office tools (PPT, Word, Teams, etc.)
· Experience with creating job aids and technical writing skills
· Experience with Task Analysis
