Why It's Worth Your Time

- Stable, privately held firm with long-standing investor relationships and low corporate bureaucracy.
- Lean, collaborative accounting team where your work is seen and valued.
- Consistent schedule with a designated remote day built into the week.
- Opportunity to work directly with external clients and partners — not just internal stakeholders.
What You'll Own
- Prepare and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for assigned properties — and be able to defend every line.
- Manage the full month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close cycle for your portfolio.
- Maintain the general ledger with accurate coding, journal entries, and reconciliations.

- Prepare property budgets and deliver variance analysis against actuals.
- Communicate directly with external clients on financial statements and property accounting matters.
- Support year-end audits and meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.
Must-Haves
- 5 years of property accounting experience in multifamily real estate specifically.
- Proficiency in Yardi — must be able to operate it, not just navigate it.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare complete financial statements and substantiate the work.
- Strong month-end close ownership — GL, bank recs, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Track record of meeting deadlines consistently with a low error rate.
- Ability to work independently after onboarding without need for close supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills suitable for direct client interaction.
Nice to Have
- Experience coordinating with offshore or outsourced AP teams.
- Exposure to property acquisitions, dispositions, or refinancing transactions.
- Budget preparation and variance analysis experience.
- Familiarity with CAM reconciliations.
