Overview
This contract role supports Software Infrastructure and Support Services, focusing on Change Management and Process & Controls for compliance with federal and energy-sector regulations (NERC CIP, DOE, FISMA, NIST). The analyst serves as point-of-contact and technical lead for one area while providing backup support for the other.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document processes to meet compliance/security standards.
- Provide audit support, closure evidence, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate IT change management for hardware, software, and databases.
- Track change requests, validate testing, and monitor compliance reports.
- Maintain and oversee configuration management databases and related tools.
- Draft training materials, lead sessions, and support process rollouts.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure regulatory compliance and quality data management.
- Prepare technical reports, system documentation, and risk assessments.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Systems, Engineering, Arts, Science or a directly related technical field is preferred.
- With an applicable Associate’s degree, 10 years of experience required.
- With an applicable Bachelor’s degree, 8 years of experience is required.
- Without an applicable degree, 12 years of experience is required.
Required Technical Skills & Experience
- 2 years previous compliance and/or audit support experience
- Experience in the use of change and configuration management tools/systems
- Experience with process development and roll-out
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for a high availability environment
- Experience using centralized repository based CMDB tools
- Knowledge of and experience working with: Software development Lifecycle methodologies, Systems development and maintenance environments, High availability environments, Project management and coordination concepts and principles, Compliance and standards as applied to systems development and program management
- Experience in any aspect of the software development lifecycle for a utility environment.
- Experience with the set-up, configuration or oversight of change and/or configuration management tools
