Salary: $120-150K
The Company’s Design & Development (D&D) team is responsible for creating the designs that are known as the Company “look”. The Design & Development team encompasses: Construction, Design, Warehouse and Architecture.
Job Description
We are in search of a brilliant Leader that has intense knowledge in construction finance along with providing guidance to the team by reviewing and auditing the Design & Development team’s financial records. We are seeking someone who has superior financial statement skills – able to prepare and analyze budgets. Ability to maintain a high-level of strategic thinking – very capable of defining problems and draw valid conclusions. Capable of analyzing and presenting complex information clearly and communicating quickly through various methods.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

- Reviews and audits all D&D financial Records; conducts forecasting and reporting year of year revenues and expenses
- Establishes and implements short-and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates operational effectiveness; implements changes required for improvement. Identifies key drivers of success
- Responsible for the accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of departmental policies and procedures; records and reports
- Monitors all activities of the department to ensure that all applicable internal policies, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and controls property wide are enforced
- Creates and administers departmental operating budget and financial controls. Responsible for financial planning, forecast, labor, and payroll for areas of responsibility
- Ensures departments deliver and maintains a maximum level of property-wide service and satisfaction.
- Oversees all hiring, performance management, and employee engagement within the department. Provides training opportunities, constructive and positive feedback to team members within their area of responsibility Creates a motivating environment
- Keeps informed of all new developments within the department and makes recommendations designed to maximize department and company success.
- Manages multiple priorities simultaneously and meets deadlines
- Must have the ability to promote positive, fair, and ethical relations with all team members, guests, and other third parties
- Create an enthusiastic, energetic service-oriented culture and provide leadership in developing employee engagement strategies, leadership engagement, and employee communication plans and activities
Qualifications- A master’s in accounting or in a similar discipline is required
- Must have a minimum of (10) ten years of general accounting experience, preferably ten (10) years of experience in construction accounting
Must-Haves:- Strong accounting acumen; manager admits she doesn’t know accounting well and needs someone who does.
- Advanced Excel skills, especially pivot tables – non-negotiable.
- Budgeting, forecasting, and sales/use tax expertise.
- Experience managing P&L line items and validating financials before corporate review.
- CapEx and project-based accounting experience; Project Site and PeopleSoft are a plus.
Nice-to-Haves (but not required):- Construction accounting – ideal but not required.
- Big Four background – highly respected by the executive team (CEO/CFO level).
- Experience with large Strip casinos
Team & Scope:- Oversees 2 junior GL accountants.
- Will not be responsible for UAE hours; work is 8–5 in Summerlin.
