Cable Technician

An aerospace client is looking for a Cable and Harness Technician to Read and interpret Work Instructions, schematics, wire lists, and drawings. Ensures quality of the hardware is maintained and company procedures are followed

Location: Melbourne FL (Onsite)

Position: Cable and Harness Technician

Pay Rate: $63.88/hr. on W2 (DOE)

Duration: 12 months or longer

Schedule: 4x10 (M-Th

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Knowledge and understanding of the detailed aspects of cable designs. Verify material identification and ensure traceability during the fabrication and testing process.
• Validate quality of hardware and perform duties at a moderate complexity. Ensure all materials are properly labeled and stored following engineering and planning requirements.
• Ensures completeness, accuracy, and adherence to procedures and shop practice. Communicate any inconsistencies, deviations, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel.
• The selected candidate will support lab fabrication, and other processes in a team-based environment

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2 years of additional education and/or related experience
• Must have active DOD Secret level clearance, and the ability to obtain Special Access Program within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
• The role involves moderate physical effort, repetitive tasks, and occasional lifting of items weighing up to 50lb
• Ability read and interpret engineering work instructions and schematics

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience Technical Degree or some college.
• Proficiency with hands-on mechanical assembly, electronics testing, and electronics evaluation.
