Role Description The Mobile Phlebotomist is a full-time or part-time, off-site role. This position involves traveling locally to applicants’ homes, workplaces, or designated sites to perform blood draws, collect specimens, record vital signs, and complete required medical forms. The Mobile Phlebotomist follows strict protocols for specimen handling, labeling, storage, and timely delivery to laboratories, ensuring accurate and secure medical evidence collection. Daily responsibilities include verifying patient identity, explaining procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and upholding documents to our internal sites. The role also requires clear communication with applicants, coordination with scheduling teams, and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and company guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Blood Collection skills, including venipuncture and capillary draws, with adherence to safety and infection control procedures.
- Candidates should possess Laboratory Skills such as specimen handling, labeling, processing, and chain-of-custody documentation.
- Candidates should possess Medical Assisting capabilities, including taking vital signs, gathering medical histories, and supporting examination workflows.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and basic Medicine concepts to accurately interpret orders and document findings.
- Valid phlebotomy certification or license in California - CPT-1.
- Previous experience as a phlebotomist or medical assistant in clinical, laboratory, or mobile settings is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and the ability to lift and carry equipment as needed.
