A premier civil construction and paving contractor in the Greater Tampa Bay area is seeking a Hands-On Asphalt Paving Foreman. We are looking for a motivated leader who is committed to total team effort and capable of delivering high-quality road construction projects safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
You will report directly to the Project Superintendent and act as the field leader for paving operations.
- Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the asphalt paving crew to work efficiently and safely.
- Operations Management: Plan daily operations, including calculating and ordering asphalt/trucks, and assisting with equipment relocation.
- Quality Control: Ensure all paving is completed per contract specifications. Oversee rolling patterns for density, monitor temperature/material quality, and maintain tonnage records.
- Technical Oversight: Manage clean-up, layout, and measurements. Detect possible defects early and schedule necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict safety rules and environmental regulations. Ensure safe working conditions for the crew at all times.
- Administration: Complete daily timesheets and review project challenges with the Superintendent.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience managing paving operations.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of road construction materials, equipment, methods, and techniques.
- Ability to interpret contract terms, specifications, and work orders.
- Knowledge of Superpave mix designs is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT site projects and requirements.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Asphalt Paving Level 1 & 2
- Traffic Control Supervisor Certification
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in Florida outdoor conditions (heat, noise), lift minimum 45 lbs., and work days, nights, or weekends as project schedules require.
