Summary
Keeps the school building and school offices in clean and orderly condition providing a clean, safe and functional building.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, wax, dust and vacuums assigned area(s) on a prescribed schedule.
- Scrubs and disinfects toilet doors, urinals, toilet bowls, and other fixtures daily including water bottle fillers and drinking fountains and garbage containers.
- Empty trash and garbage containers daily or more often, if necessary.
- Responds to accidents and potential safety hazards such as spills and restroom issues.
- Notifies school officials concerning the need for repairs throughout the building.
- Maintains the appearance of the outside of the building through picking up trash, mowing, etc.
- Maintains safe, clean and organized custodial storage areas.
Education and/or Experience
- GED or high school diploma
- Or related experience or training
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience
