Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute test strategies for non-active medical devices, with a strong focus on orthopedic and dental implants.
- Use CAD software (Solidworks or UG) to design and build fixtures and test setups
- Act as a technical liaison with customers from initial contact to test report delivery, ensuring excellent client experience throughout the testing process
- Optimize and maintain existing test setups; develop new setups for advanced orthopedic testing
- Develop, maintain, and update internal lab operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with ASTM/ISO standards and internal quality procedures
- Revise existing and create new quality management documents
- Coordinate technicians and assistants during test execution
- Prepare engineering estimates to support quoting and budgets
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, or related fields, Master’s degree preferred
- Three years of engineering experience related to mechanical design and testing
- Experience in medical device testing is highly desirable
- Familiarity with ISO 17025 and regulated environments
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to deliver excellent customer experience
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving testing requirements
- Ideally, you already have experience in working in a regulated environment (QM experience) and/or with normative (testing) procedures
