Job Title: Controller
The Controller is responsible for managing the financial operations and information technology of Applied Textiles. The position ensures accuracy, compliance, and alignment with strategic goals. This role provides leadership in financial planning, accounting, reporting, and analysis, while overseeing the finance team and key vendor relationships. The Controller serves as a strategic partner to the Leadership Team and supports cross-functional initiatives.
What You'll Do
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Financial Recordkeeping: Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, inventory records, and cost allocations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
Auditing and Compliance: Assist with internal and external audits. Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting requirements. Support the implementation of internal controls to mitigate financial risks.
Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead the Finance Team, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Collections. Oversee IT vendor relationships and ensure service alignment with business needs.
Inventory Management: Collaborate with the supply chain team to monitor inventory levels, track costs, and reconcile discrepancies. Provide input on inventory valuation and conducting periodic physical inventory counts.
System and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting tools. Support decision-making and implementation process.
Other supported area: Budgeting and Forecasting, Financial Analysis, Cost Accounting, Financial Planning and Decision Support
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Prove experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing accounting teams and cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
