Summary
We are seeking a Quality Control Engineer who will be working in the manufacture lines and routinely checking products to fit compliant quality requirements. In this role you will be collaborating with other engineering teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. This role is crucial in helping reduce returns and minimizing costs associated with defects.
Job Duties
- Inspection and Testing: Conducting thorough inspections and tests on final products to ensure they meet the specified quality standards and customer requirements.
- Quality Control Systems: Developing and implementing quality control systems to monitor and improve product quality. This includes setting up procedures for testing and inspection.
- Data Analysis: Analyzing data from quality tests and inspections to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
- Compliance: Ensuring that products comply with industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities
- Training: Provide guidance and support to production teams in achieving quality objectives and conduct training sessions on quality control activities.
- Work with multi-teams for products quality, function and standards specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
- Preferred: 1 years of experience in semiconductor laser dies, or photonic integration circuit quality control
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with data analysis software and systems
- Knowledge of quality standards, regulations, quality control, and production quality control
- Effective communication skills for presenting findings
- Team collaboration
- Good knowledge of optoelectronic industry products and processes
- Multi-tasking and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and good team player who can work efficiently
- Flexibility/Adaptability
- Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus
- Not required but will be a plus
- Six Sigma/Lean Sigma
Location
This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
