This is a 12-month 100% onsite position in Tualatin, OR. Regular shift M-F, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
About the Role
We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer 3 to support the design and development of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative New Product Introduction (NPI) programs and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to bring complex products from concept to production.
Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for advanced equipment.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Perform engineering analysis, including tolerance, thermal, and structural evaluation.
- Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Controls, Software, Process, and Manufacturing teams.
- Support prototype builds, system integration, testing, and validation activities.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and problem-solving efforts.
- Ensure designs are reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 6 years of mechanical engineering experience (or a Master's degree with 2 years of experience).
- Proficiency with Siemens NX and/or CRE.
- Experience with MATLAB and Simulink.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Hands-on experience using common mechanical measurement and diagnostic tools.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Semiconductor industry experience.
- Experience supporting NPI projects.
- Knowledge of DFMEA and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
