About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to serve as the primary CSA technical authority on the owner’s project team for a major industrial capital project in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. This high-impact role provides single-point accountability for civil, structural, and architectural engineering quality, constructability, and compliance through detailed engineering, procurement, modular fabrication, construction, and pre-commissioning.
You will provide technical leadership and oversight to EPC partners, contractors, modular fabricators, and construction teams. Responsibilities include reviewing CSA deliverables, resolving non-conformances and constructability concerns, responding to RFIs, and ensuring designs align with project requirements, company standards, and applicable codes.
The position will begin primarily in an office-based, design-focused environment and transition into a field-intensive role as construction progresses. You will provide active site support and work closely with project management, engineering, construction, and QA/QC teams to protect project safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
About You
You are a senior civil or structural engineer with at least 15 years of experience supporting large-scale industrial capital projects valued at $100 million or more. You bring strong technical expertise in geotechnical and soils analysis, foundations, piling systems, reinforced concrete, structural steel, seismic design, dynamics, and vibration analysis. Ideally, you have worked within oil and gas, chemical, petrochemical, or another heavy industrial environment and have experience representing an owner or leading civil and structural execution for an EPC contractor. You are confident reviewing engineering deliverables, directing contractors, resolving technical and constructability issues, and working across geographically distributed teams. Experience with modular design and fabrication is highly preferred, along with the ability to transition from office-based engineering into an active construction-site environment. Professional Engineering licensure is a plus.
