Appliance Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Appliance Technician to join our close-knit team at Appliance Guys. A dedicated and reliable technician will find a relaxed working environment, flexible hours (NO WEEKENDS), and great benefits with us. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of household and commercial appliances. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in field service environments. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse appliance systems, ensuring customer satisfaction through professional and efficient service.

Duties

• Diagnose appliance issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools
• Repair and replace faulty components in appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, and ovens
• Perform equipment repairs with precision, adhering to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines
• Install new appliances and ensure proper setup and operation for customers
• Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems effectively
• Conduct routine maintenance to prevent future breakdowns
• Assist with assembly of appliances or equipment as needed
• Maintain detailed service records for each job performed
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding repair procedures and maintenance tips
• Ensure timely completion of service calls while maintaining high-quality standards

Skills

• Proven experience in appliance repair or related field service roles
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical diagrams
• Electrical experience essential for diagnosing wiring issues and component replacements
• Familiarity with refrigeration systems and equipment repair techniques
• Experience working with box trucks or delivery vehicles preferred for on-site service calls
• Customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with clients during service visits
• Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems efficiently
• Knowledge of assembly processes for appliances or equipment assembly tasks
• Delivery driver experience is a plus for managing on-the-go service schedules
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required

Pay: $20.00 - $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
