The Role

As a Residential Electrical Sales Advisor, you'll be the trusted expert guiding homeowners through electrical upgrades that improve their daily lives. This is an in-home sales position where you'll conduct consultations, assess needs, present customized solutions, and close sales on high-value projects. You'll focus on promoting our premium electrical services, including whole-house re-devicing (updating outlets, switches, and fixtures), electrical panel upgrades, standby generators, landscape lighting, smart home devices, surge protection, rewiring, ceiling fans, and more.

This is a full-time, commission-based role with uncapped earning potential (top performers earn six figures), base draw/draw against commission, comprehensive training, and leads provided. No cold calling required — we generate qualified appointments through our established reputation and marketing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-home consultations to evaluate homeowners' electrical systems and identify opportunities for safety, efficiency, and modernization.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of our services, such as preventing outages with Generac generators, reducing energy costs with smart panels and lighting, or enhancing home value with whole-house re-devicing.
  • Prepare and present professional proposals with transparent, up-front pricing and financing options.
  • Build rapport, overcome objections, and close sales on the spot to deliver immediate value.
  • Follow up with customers post-sale to ensure satisfaction and generate referrals/reviews.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets while maintaining our high standards of integrity and customer care.
  • Collaborate with our licensed electricians for seamless project handoff and installation.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and products to provide expert advice.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: 2 years in in-home sales (electrical, home improvement, HVAC, solar, or related fields preferred). Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quotas.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, listening, and presentation abilities. Strong closing skills with a consultative approach—no high-pressure tactics.
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of residential electrical systems (we'll train on specifics). Comfort discussing technical topics like panel capacity, generator sizing, smart home integration, and code compliance.
  • Personality: Energetic, trustworthy, and customer-focused. You thrive on helping families solve problems and improve their homes.
  • Requirements: Valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. Ability to pass background check. Availability for evenings/weekends as needed for appointments.
  • Bonus: Electrical license or trade experience a plus, but not required.
