What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Coordinator position at AppleOne?
The Account Coordinator position is an integral part of the sales team, providing essential administrative support and customer service throughout the entire sales and production process. This role supports a designated team of Account Executives as well as the broader sales team, including other assistants, and reports directly to the VP of Sales while functioning as part of an account management team. Key responsibilities include proofreading and entering orders, managing paperwork to ensure smooth project flow into accounting, researching similar projects for quoting, and following up with clients on project status. The Account Coordinator also screens inbound calls, conducts customer outreach such as contacting clients with expiring quotes, and assembles research for reorders to ensure pricing accuracy and correct quantities. Additional duties involve maintaining catalog sample binders, monitoring shipping reports for upcoming orders, filing shipping quotes, handling licensing, trademark, and manufacturing paperwork, and completing order confirmation documents when necessary. The role requires verifying shipping instructions on incoming orders, alerting Accounting to direct ship opportunities, maintaining project files, supporting Account Executives during absences, and updating CRM records, including onboarding new customers. As proficiency increases, additional responsibilities will be assigned. Performance is measured by task proficiency, the ability to quickly learn and work independently with minimal direction, delivering thorough and accurate results, and demonstrating a willingness to grow within the role and take on additional duties. Previous sales assistant experience required.
