Purchasing Agent (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)

Our agency is partnering with a well-established and growing company in the equipment/automotive sector to hire a Purchasing Agent on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys negotiating, building vendor relationships, and driving cost efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers
Obtain competitive quotes and analyze vendor pricing
Issue and manage purchase orders
Monitor inventory levels and forecast purchasing needs
Track and reduce procurement costs
Coordinate with operations, accounting, warehouse, and project management
Resolve invoice discrepancies and delivery issues
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related experience
3 years of purchasing/procurement experience
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
Advanced Excel skills
Automotive industry experience preferred
