Position Overview:
We’re seeking a Junior Project Engineer to join our client's dynamic field and project management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate in Civil Engineering or Construction Management who is eager to build a career in geotechnical and heavy civil construction. You’ll gain hands-on experience in all phases of project delivery, from estimating and design support to field operations and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project coordination and documentation
Support pre-construction planning, submittals, scheduling, and cost tracking
Review project specifications, drawings, and geotechnical reports
Participate in field activities, including site inspections, testing, and project setup
Track quantities, prepare daily reports, and monitor progress against schedule
Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to support project execution
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
Strong interest in geotechnical or heavy civil construction
Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Willingness to work in both office and field environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project); familiarity with AutoCAD a plus
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed
