What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Spanish Operations Coordinator position at AppleOne?
Growing and dynamic charter school is looking to hire (10) Bilingual Spanish Operation's Coordinator's for various schools in 90001, 90002, 90003, 90022, 90037,90044, 90062, 90063, 90071, 90089, 90255 and 90270 locations.
**MUST HAVE previous experience working in education in an office administration capacity at the elementary, middle school, high school or college level** OR previous experience working in an organization working with kids/teens directly***
Health Screening/Background Check Requirements:
• Must submit and pass a DOJ/FBI Fingerprint Live Scan background check once hired to start the job
• Must have a TB Test administered and receive a negative result once hired to start the job
***Applicant pays out of pocket cost for both screenings of $80 and company will reimbursed back 100% of cost with receipt***
Job Responsibilities:
• Provide logistical support and coordination for field trips and end of year field lessons
• Be first responder to teacher calls for support in the classroom. Support planning and execution of school-wide events and fundraisers
• Coordinate purchasing/distribution for materials and services (e.g., field trips, uniforms, office supplies, and teacher supplies) as assigned
• Support the School Nutrition Program when needed (e.g. meal application entry, monthly meal calendar submission, daily meal count reporting, monthly compliance documentation submission, and meal balance collection)
• Supports daily attendance procedures and works with the Registrar to ensure the accuracy of students’ daily attendance
• Supports the goal of achieving a high ADA by communicating attendance expectations to families and assisting in other activities.
• Organizes, secures, and maintains a pristine office space and environment
• Oversees completion of all facilities request submitted at the school
• Coordinates with janitorial day porter regarding daily janitorial needs
• Assists in preparing facilities for the upcoming school year (e.g. bulletin boards, signage)
• Builds relationships with families to keep them well-informed and support their needs
• Translates and distributes school correspondence including but not limited to: letters, memos, and weekly bulletins
• Assists in the translation of parent meetings, including Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings
• Works with Registrar to ensure emergency medical and contact information for all students is up-to-date
• Works with Registrar to ensure school has complete and current immunization records for all students
• Ensures confidentiality and security of office space, files, and all information pertaining to students, parents, staff, and community
• Supports the collection of student interest forms
• Assists the Registrar in managing family communication, pre and post lottery (sends interested families notifications of lottery events, sends lottery results letters to families, contacts families when student
Education Requirements:
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
Skills Requirements:
• 4 years of office support experience.
• Strong customer service skills is required.
Computer Skills Required:
• Proficient with Google Docs, Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
