A growing automotive repair facility in Fountain Valley, CA is seeking an experienced Automotive Diagnostic Technician / Master Technician for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a highly skilled technician who excels at advanced diagnostics, complex mechanical repairs, and accurate, high-quality work across domestic, import, hybrid, and electric vehicles.

The ideal candidate is not a parts replacer. This role is best suited for a true diagnostic professional who uses a systematic troubleshooting approach, verifies concerns, and takes pride in completing repairs correctly the first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced diagnostics on electrical, drivability, engine performance, hybrid, and electric vehicle systems.
- Complete complex mechanical repairs, including engine replacement, head gaskets, timing chains, timing belts, transmissions, drivetrain, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
- Diagnose and repair hybrid and electric vehicle components, including HV batteries, inverters, DC-DC converters, and hybrid cooling systems.
- Use OEM-level scan tools, lab scopes, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and digital service information systems.
- Inspect vehicles thoroughly, identify additional repair or maintenance needs, and document findings accurately.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair recommendations, timelines, and job status.

- Pay range: $30 to $35 per hour.
