A growing local company in the Kansas City metro area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team on a temp-to-hire basis. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries, maintain the general ledger, and support accurate financial records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including account reconciliations and variance resolution.
- Support monthly financial reporting and assist in preparing financial statements.
- Help with budgeting, forecasting, audit preparation, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll as needed.
- Partner with the Controller and accounting team to identify efficiencies and strengthen accounting processes.
- Salary range: $68,000 to $70,000 per year.
