Senior Application Developer

A confidential public-sector client is seeking an experienced Senior Application Developer to support and enhance mission-critical Case Management and Juror Management systems built on CA Plex. This role plays a vital part in ensuring continuity, stability, and performance of legacy platforms while broader modernization efforts are underway.

What You’ll Be Doing

Application Maintenance & Support

• Maintain and support large-scale CA Plex–based systems across environments
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
• Provide escalation/on-call support for critical system issues

Development & Enhancements

• Design and implement enhancements within the CA Plex model
• Update business rules, workflows, screens, batch processes, and reports
• Ensure compliance with statutory and policy requirements

Database & Data Integrity

• Write and optimize SQL Server (T‑SQL) queries and stored procedures
• Perform data corrections and system performance tuning on very large datasets
• Ensure data consistency across integrated systems

System Integrations

• Support integrations with external and internal platforms (law enforcement systems, eCitation, eFiling, public index, etc.)
• Assist with evolving legacy interfaces toward API-based integrations

Reporting & Analytics Support

• Develop extracts and queries to support operational and analytical reporting
• Partner with analytics teams and data warehouse initiatives

Collaboration & Documentation

• Work closely with court administration, IT leadership, and development teams
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Document system changes and support knowledge transfer initiatives

What We’re Looking For

Required Experience

• 15 years of application development experience
• 15 years working with CA Plex or similar model-driven/4GL environments
• 15 years of SQL Server / T‑SQL experience
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Extensive experience supporting legacy or enterprise systems
• Experience with system integrations (REST, SOAP, XML, services, microservices)
• Background in court case management and jury management systems

Nice to Have

• Public sector, judicial, or government system experience
• Data warehouse concepts (star/snowflake schemas)
• Power BI backend optimization
• Azure DevOps, Always On Availability Groups
• .NET, Java, or C (generated from Plex)
• Experience cleaning and stabilizing large legacy datasets across jurisdictions
• Familiarity with security appliances (e.g., Imperva)
