Safety, Health & Environmental (SHE) Manager
📍 Cleveland (Onsite)
💰 $115,000 – $135,000 Base Annual Incentive
We are seeking a seasoned SHE Manager to lead and elevate safety, health, and environmental programs at a complex, high-volume manufacturing site operating 24/7 across three shifts. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can build upon established programs, influence culture, and drive continuous improvement across the facility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and execute SHE strategy and compliance across the Cleveland facility
- Partner with leadership to strengthen safety culture and accountability at all levels
- Enhance and roll out existing programs including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, machine guarding, and safety initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, environmental standards, etc.)
- Drive incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Oversee emergency response planning, drills, and incident command processes
- Identify trends in workplace safety and implement preventative measures
- Lead training initiatives and act as an internal SHE subject matter expert
- Collaborate cross-functionally on engineering controls, facility design, and process improvements
- Manage waste programs and ensure proper handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders
What You Bring
- 5–10 years of direct experience as a SHE Manager (required) in a manufacturing environment
- Strong background in OSHA regulations with OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
- Proven success developing and implementing SHE programs and initiatives
- Ability to influence, communicate, and lead across all levels of an organization
- Experience with emergency response and incident command
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred
- CSP certification a plus
- Chemical manufacturing experience preferred (not required)
- Exposure to sustainability and environmental programs
Schedule
🕒 Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
(Overseeing a 24/7 operation)
