What You’ll Do
- Assist the Property Manager in day-to-day operations of HUD-subsidized housing properties
- Help manage tenant applications, renewals, and eligibility requirements for HUD programs
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with HUD regulations
- Handle tenant inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Process lease agreements, payments, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Assist with rent collections, notices, and compliance documentation
- Maintain tenant files and ensure all required documentation is up to date and complete
- Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely property upkeep and repairs
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to ensure regulatory compliance
- 1-3 years of property management experience (HUD experience is a plus)
- Strong understanding of HUD regulations and fair housing laws
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High level of organization and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and property management software (Yardi, AppFolio, etc.)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude and a commitment to providing outstanding service to residents
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
