Responsibilities
- Accountable for managing $105M spend, reporting to the Director Corporate Services Procurement
- Supervise and enable two sourcing specialists supporting the developed category strategy
- Close collaboration with internal stakeholders to determine current and future sourcing needs develop and execute corresponding category strategies.
- Deliver significant cost savings and avoidances as well as continuous improvement plans
- Identify and manage global projects in alignment with cross-functional internal stakeholders
- Manage and evolve a supplier base that offers optimal quality, service, technology, and value (QSTV). Lead efforts to qualify alternate or second source suppliers
- Negotiate and implement supply agreements that include ideal terms from a QSTV perspective
- Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to advance supplier-supported company objectives, develop supplier capabilities, address gaps in supplier performance
- In collaboration with the Business Units, Operations, Technology, and/or other functional stakeholders, develop and continuously evolve a cost savings/productivity plan for the category that includes a pipeline of new ideas, in-process projects, and projects accruing savings in support of exceeding annual productivity goals
- Effectively address all supplier performance failures via the root cause and corrective action process, successfully levying claims, and other tactics as appropriate
- Create and maintain effective e-Sourcing events and catalogs to increase productivity
- Monitor and resolve disconnects in the buy channel process in conjunction with the Procurement policy to improve overall compliance and actively managed spend
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics or engineering. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Prior experience leading diverse, multi-functional teams
- 5 or more years' experience in project management, preferable in Procurement
- Experience in the Corporate Services Procurement area
- Fluent spoken and written English. Additional language skills a plus
- Proficient knowledge of the source-to-contract Procurement process
- Experienced in Procurement e-sourcing-tools, preferable ARIBA
- Partnering with senior-level leaders and stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Excellent internal and external negotiation skills
- Strong analytical skills and creative problem-solving capability
- Superior communication and good presentation skills
- Self-motivated, service-oriented “Can do – Will do” mindset and attitude
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to travel up to 20%, including international travel
