Key Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for roles including laborers, mechanics, truck drivers, dispatchers, and administrative staff.
- Coordinate onboarding and orientation with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Administer benefits, workers’ compensation, and leave programs tailored to construction staff.
- Handle employee relations both in-office and on-site, promoting a respectful and compliant culture.
- Ensure adherence to OSHA standards, union agreements, and labor laws.
- Maintain accurate personnel records including certifications and training.
- Support performance management and skill development initiatives.
- Assist with payroll coordination, including union and certified reporting.
- Organize safety training and ensure proper documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers to address workforce needs and resolve HR issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist, ideally in construction or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of OSHA, labor laws, and union environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with field staff.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in iSolve, MS Office, and Excel.
- PHR or SHRM certification is a plus.
