Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Maintenance Specialist with a strong blend of maintenance and IT skills. This role focuses on documenting, configuring, and validating maintenance procedures using digital tools—not performing hands-on maintenance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in an industrial plant environment, troubleshooting tablets and connectivity issues, and using SAP and Cumulus digital software.
Key Responsibilities
Develop maintenance procedures by observing field work and documenting processes
Build and format procedures using PowerPoint and Cumulus digital software
Configure and upload maintenance procedures into Cumulus software
Verify procedure effectiveness through observation and user feedback
Troubleshoot tablets, Bluetooth devices, and connectivity issues
Configure and support Bluetooth-enabled maintenance tools
Utilize SAP for maintenance planning and documentation
Collaborate with maintenance and IT teams to ensure accurate digital workflows
Physically walk the plant to observe, document, and validate procedures
Required Qualifications
Experience in maintenance planning and SAP
Comfortable working in both maintenance and IT environments
Ability to configure Bluetooth tools and BASF software
Experience troubleshooting tablets and connectivity issues
Strong technical writing skills; ability to write clear maintenance procedures
Ability to learn procedures through observation (maintenance expertise not required)
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk throughout an industrial plant environment
Steel-toed shoes required (employee provided); all other PPE provided by BASF
Ability to document procedures while in the field
