Fitness Equipment Service Technician

Apple Fitness Equipment is a growing company based in the State College, PA area. We specialize in fitness equipment repair, maintenance, installation, and sales. We are looking for a motivated, self-starting technician to cover our Central PA territory.

Responsibilities and Duties:

You will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on a variety of fitness equipment, including treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, and weight machines, at residential and commercial job sites. You will also deliver, assemble, and remove equipment as needed. Depending on the job, you may work on your own or with other employees.

We have full-time and part-time opportunities available, primarily Monday through Friday with occasional evenings or weekends. We provide hands-on training, and after the initial training period you will work independently. We use cell phones and smart devices for daily communication. If you enjoy fixing things like we do, this is a great opportunity to put your skills to use.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of mechanical or electromechanical experience (automotive, HVAC, appliance repair, fitness repair, or similar preferred)

• Basic understanding of electronic circuitry and troubleshooting

• Knowledge of fitness equipment is a huge plus

• Ability to use a multimeter and all hand and power tools

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electromechanical components

• Ability to navigate the internet, Word, and Excel

• A clean driving record is a must

• Ability to pass all federal and state background checks required by school districts

• Professional etiquette, punctuality, and strong organization

• Professional appearance

• Ability to lift, bend, and work with both manual and power tools, including lifting up to 75 pounds and occasionally more

Pay: $20.00 - $27.50 per hour
