Minimum Qualifications
2 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner or pediatric physician assistant (PNP or PA).
License/Certification Required
Pediatric Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant in the state of North Carolina
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a pediatric nurse practitioner or pediatric physician assistant (PNP or PA).
- 1 year of experience in developmental pediatrics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This role will practice alongside an interdisciplinary team, have the time and resources to focus on meaningful patient care, and help build a model that brings specialized developmental services closer to the families who need them most. Key responsibilities include:
- Provide direct medical care based on Growing Well guidelines and protocols
- Provide leadership for developmental screenings, assessments, and treatment planning, and support and guide allied health providers involved in the care of children with or at risk for developmental delays.
- Oversee the high-risk infant follow-up program, ensuring timely developmental monitoring and intervention referrals.
- Ensure the use of evidence-based tools for screening and diagnosing autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and other developmental conditions.
- Collaborate with therapists, family navigators, students, and social workers to ensure cohesive, family-centered care.
- Work with the Medical Director to maintain clinical protocols and quality standards for developmental services.
- Participate in strategic planning to expand and improve program offerings.
- Maintain knowledge in evidence-based practices related to Growing Well Clinic Protocols
- Provide training and share resources to other professionals or programs as part of a potential statewide expansion of Growing Well
- Lead case conferences
Work Schedule/Hours:Mon-Fri, 8:00-5:00 pm
Suggested Salary Range: Up to $125,000
