As a Baker at Appalachia Cookie Company, you will be responsible for baking cookies, answering phones and taking orders. You will also help keep the store organized and clean. You should be passionate about the industry as well as delivering an exceptional customer experience, while understanding the importance of a positive social and environmental impact. Our employees must maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation and food quality.
Opportunities for advancement also available within first 90 days with increased pay.
Pay: $12/hr

Position Requirements:
- Hours: 10am - 5pm; 5pm - 11pm; 8pm - 12am. **SUMMER AND SEASONAL HOURS MAY VARY**
- Must be a quick learning individual.
- Proficient in the following areas: ordering, receiving, customer service, safety and sanitation.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must pay close attention to detail.
- Must be able to stand for long periods.
- Must be positive and proactive.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Recognizing the difference between cookies.
- Recognizing the difference between under/over-baked cookies.
- Repetitive movement and cognitive skills.
- Answering phones and greeting customers.
- Taking customers’ orders and using Point of Sale.
- Scooping, baking and boxing cookies
- Packaging, sealing and labeling cookies for shipping.
- Matching orders on Kitchen Display System (KDS) to orders on tray and boxing them accordingly.
- Sweeping, mopping, washing dishes and other general cleaning duties.
Availability Requirements:
- (Required) Ability to work at least 3 Shifts per week or 18 hours per week
- (Preferred) Availability for 5 shifts per week (Available for 5 and able to work 3 so that you can work a variety of shifts), combined from DAY shifts (11AM-5/6PM availability), MID shifts (3PM-9PM availability), or NIGHT shifts (5/6PM to 11PM/1AM availability)
- (Preferred) At least 2 Friday, Saturday or Sunday shift availability per week
