Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced environment, ensuring each guest has a memorable dining experience. This role requires a professional with strong communication skills, food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality. Experience with POS systems and food safety standards is preferred. The Server will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining guest satisfaction throughout their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive customer service from seating to checkout
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Toast POS
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting for new guests, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations for billing purposes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Address guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and foster positive guest relations
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in accordance with health regulations
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ability to upsell menu items and promote specials effectively
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and bill calculation purposes
- Previous host/host or bussing experience is advantageous
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights; weekend availability is preferred
