Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer to drive factory optimization initiatives through Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. This role will focus on improving production efficiency, modeling factory operations, and supporting strategic initiatives including new product integration and infrastructure improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Model factory operations using:
- Process flows
- Value Stream Maps
- Pareto charts
- Spaghetti diagrams
- CAD layouts
- Analyze resource utilization and identify throughput constraints
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraints to improve efficiency, quality, and delivery
- Support factory roadmap planning and infrastructure investment strategies
- Lead and execute cross-functional projects focused on:
- Performance improvement
- Obsolescence management
- Production scalability
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and production readiness efforts
- Improve factory safety and ergonomics across work cells
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and performance metrics
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or related)
- 7 years of relevant experience OR
- Master’s degree with 5 years of experience
Required Skills
- Strong experience with Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies
- Hands-on experience with factory layout and work cell optimization
- Experience with simulation modeling and capacity analysis
- Proficiency in CAD software
- Strong understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes
- Experience with Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Solid project management experience
- Strong communication skills (technical reports & presentations)
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operators, engineers, and leadership
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments
- Proven track record of driving measurable process improvements
- Experience influencing stakeholders and leading change initiatives
- Background in factory expansion or infrastructure planning
