This is a key position that combines warehouse duties with local deliveries, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of purchase orders for our mechanical contracting projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive incoming orders, tag them, and accurately log them into our inventory management system.
- Store materials properly or prepare them for delivery based on purchase-order notes and customer requirements.
- Load and unload delivery vehicles safely, using proper lifting techniques, forklifts, and other equipment.
- Perform timely deliveries to job sites and other designated locations while representing Apollo Mechanical professionally.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment in compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and vehicle environment.
- Complete all required documentation for shipments, deliveries, and inventory.
- Follow all DOT regulations, company safety policies, and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required).
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certification (includes passing a DOT medical examination and drug screening).
- Forklift experience and certification (or willingness to become certified).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and handle heavier items with mechanical assistance or team lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate order tagging and logging.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a small team.
- Previous warehouse, delivery, or material-handling experience is a plus.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
