With offices located in Philadelphia, Chicago, Mission Viejo, and Austin; our team members believe in face-to-face relationships to assist our customers with the best experience in placing Professional and Management Liability.JOB FUNCTIONS: The Associate Account Manager role is fundamental in Apogee’s production of business. The Associate Account Manager will provide a unique experience in interacting with our customers and the handling of their renewal submissions. This role also includes the challenge of building relationships with our many Markets, customers, and communicating with our Sales Team members to give our customers the perfect Apogee experience. This position will include the opportunity for professional development, insurance education, networking, and introduction to a variety of different career paths for future advancement.Assist Account Management Team with Submission Marketing:Receiving applications for insurance from independent agent customersReviewing and qualifying the risks and exposures for each individual account.Communicating with the company underwriters and the independent agent customers to negotiate favorable insurance proposalsStudying various insurance proposals to determine viability for selling to independent agency customers.Discussing the features and benefits of each proposal with customers and ultimately asking for the sale.Customer Focus & Responsibility:Responsible for building and maintaining constructive business relationships with independent agent customers over the phone.Responsible for managing/growing a book of business, but does not have individual ownership of the business as Apogee owns all business written.Responsible for learning and understanding company underwriters’ appetites for risk and exposure.Data entry and creation of insurance proposals for delivery to customersResponsible for servicing policies and issuing endorsementsAssist with miscellaneous administrative tasks and projects, as well as reporting on resultsQualifications Required:Bachelor’s degree is preferredP&C License (must obtain within first 90 days of employment)Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and in teamsMotivated and results-driven personalityEffective negotiation skillsExperience:1-3 years of hands-on experience in customer service, communication, sales, or marketing is preferred, but recent graduates are encouraged to applyPrior insurance product knowledge and insurance education – a plus!Apogee Benefits:Base salary and benefits package plus year end performance-based bonusesReceive compensation for training and continuing education while you learn the businessHigh-energy and performance-driven work culture, while embracing a flexible life balanceFrequent customer interaction and networking opportunities, including carrier and customer outings, insurance industry events, etc.Free lunch provided daily (from when working within the office)Full gym on site (from when working within the office)Company phone & Surface laptop providedAt Apogee, our goal is to strengthen our community and culture by representing all races, genders, religions and sexual orientations.
