**About the Role**

APL Engineered Materials, Inc. is looking for a Safety Specialist to

manage and maintain our environmental, health, and safety programs.

This role is ideal for someone with some hands-on exposure to OSHA and

EPA regulations in a manufacturing environment. Training on

company-specific systems will be provided.

You will work closely with a small, collaborative team to maintain a

safe workplace while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local

regulations.

**Key Responsibilities**

• Manage regulatory reporting for OSHA, EPA, IEPA, and other relevant
  
  

agencies

• Maintain permits, compliance records, and reporting accounts
• Conduct safety audits and facility inspections
• Coordinate inspections with vendors and inspectors
• Maintain employee safety programs and training records
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Perform hands-on safety tasks on the production floor
  
  

**Required Qualifications**

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in safety, environmental
  
  

science, chemistry, or related field

• 13 years of experience with OSHA/EPA compliance in a manufacturing
  
  

environment

• Strong organization and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in both office and production floor environments
• Willingness to learn company-specific reporting systems
