Project Manager - Electrical Construction

APIC Solutions is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and direct electrical construction projects for our growing New Mexico division.

In this high-visibility leadership role, you'll take full ownership of project execution — from planning and budgeting through closeout — while building strong client and internal team relationships. You'll run projects with real autonomy, working closely with the Division Manager, the Estimating Manager, and field leadership to deliver on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standard.

Compensation: $90,000 - $140,000, with performance bonus opportunity

Location: Albuquerque, NM (On-Site)

Travel: 15-25%

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead the development and management of construction schedules, driving every project milestone to completion
• Serve as the primary point of leadership at job site meetings, directing coordination between clients, contractors, and internal teams
• Own Building Information Modeling (BIM) coordination across assigned projects
• Direct project budgeting and cost estimating, partnering with the Estimating Manager to protect margin and control cost
• Maintain rigorous document control for submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project records
• Ensure drawings and specifications are accurate, current, and properly maintained
• Oversee material releases and expediting to keep projects on schedule
• Provide hands-on field leadership and supervision as needed
• Own safety-related documentation and drive compliance with industry regulations across every project
• Deliver all required project documentation on time, including weekly progress reports
• Build and own client relationships, ensuring every project exceeds expectations
• Lead and oversee Electrical Service Team members, holding the team accountable for documentation, reporting, and performance
• Manage multiple concurrent projects simultaneously with strong time management and organizational discipline

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in project estimating, design-build, and negotiated project development
• Extensive electrical installation and troubleshooting experience
• Strong contract administration expertise, including organization, coordination, and execution of project duties
• Proven ability to lead projects from inception through closeout, exercising sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills with a track record of win-win client outcomes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and professionalism
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to travel 15-25%
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Prior experience managing electrical construction projects in a leadership or supervisory capacity
• Hands-on experience with Spectrum and Exact Time, or comparable construction ERP/project tracking software
• Working knowledge of BIM coordination
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
