Senior Electronics Engineer

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Mixed Signal Electronic Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and integration of advanced mixed-signal electronic systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in both analog and digital circuit design, semiconductor technologies, signal integrity, and system-level integration.

This role you will work across multi-disciplined teams ( RF, photonics, firmware, computer systems, and manufacturing engineering teams) to develop high-performance electro-optic solutions and systems from concept through production.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, simulate, and validate mixed-signal circuits and subsystems including analog, digital, RF, and high-speed interfaces
• Develop schematics, PCB layouts, and hardware architectures for complex electronic systems
• Perform circuit simulation using tools such as Cadence, LTspice, ADS, MATLAB, or equivalent platforms
• Support FPGA, ADC/DAC, PLL, CDR, TIA, Laser driver, optical modulator driver, RF amplifier, and signal conditioning integration
• Conduct board bring-up, debugging, validation, and performance characterization
• Analyze signal integrity, power integrity, noise, timing, and EMI/EMC considerations
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams throughout product development lifecycle
• Generate technical documentation including design reports, test procedures, and engineering change documentation
• Support prototype builds, design reviews, manufacturing transfer, and customer technical discussions
• Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for hardware-related issues

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 10 years of experience in mixed-signal hardware design and development

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline with 5 years of experience in mixed-signal hardware design and development
• Strong understanding of analog and digital electronics fundamentals
• Experience with high-speed interfaces, ADC/DAC integration, and signal processing concepts
• Experience in CPU and/or GPU processor integration in edge applications
• Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB design tools (Altium, Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
• Hands-on laboratory experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and related test equipment
• Familiarity with FPGA integration and embedded systems architectures
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
• Must be a US citizen and eligible to hold a US Government security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within aerospace, defense, semiconductor, or telecommunications industries
• Knowledge of RF systems, photonics, and computer/switch bus interfaces such as PCIe, SGMII, InfiniBand, FireFly interconnect system, etc.
• Familiarity with semiconductor fabrication or packaging processes
• Experience with MATLAB, Python, or automated test scripting
• Exposure to DOD/government contract environments and documentation standards
• Active security clearance or ability to obtain one preferred

Base Salary: $145,000 – $165,000

Final compensation will be determined by factors such as the candidate's specific skills, depth of experience, and interview performance.
