What You Will Do
Production & Workforce Leadership
- Supervise daily production operations to meet customer service, shipping, quality, safety, and cost objectives.
- Lead and support unionized employees in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Coordinate daily labor scheduling and resource allocation to ensure efficient workflow.
- Train, evaluate, coach, and take corrective action with employees as appropriate.
- Proactively create and reinforce a strong culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Ensure safe work practices are followed and address safety concerns promptly.
- Partner with Purchasing, Production Control, and Planning teams to ensure materials and supplies are available to meet scheduled ship dates.
- Communicate effectively with functional teams across the organization to ensure on‑time delivery of quality products.
- Coordinate with other supervisors to maintain efficient workflow across shifts.
- Operate within established budgets and support cost‑control initiatives.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems to monitor production activity and support operational decision‑making.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience supervising employees in a unionized setting.
- Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; Plex experience preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with Demand Flow Technologies and/or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Previous experience in engineered‑to‑order manufacturing environments preferred.
- Heat exchanger and/or pressure vessel manufacturing experience preferred.
- Knowledge of ASME code requirements preferred.
- Working knowledge of metals and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
