Electrical Maintenance Technician

The ideal candidate brings strong troubleshooting capability, electrical expertise, and experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, and control panels
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to support uptime and reliability
- Respond to equipment failures and implement timely corrective actions
- Install and modify electrical wiring, components, and control systems
- Support equipment upgrades, automation initiatives, and capital projects
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment including:
- Furnaces
- Welding systems
- Leak testing equipment
- Material handling systems
- Support PLC-controlled and automated systems troubleshooting
- Follow OSHA, NEC, and NFPA 70E regulations and company safety procedures
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
- Participate in safety audits, investigations, and corrective actions
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and records
- Identify and implement improvements to increase equipment reliability
- Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree or certification in Electrical Maintenance or related field preferred
- 3-7 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience (manufacturing preferred)
- PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley or Siemens preferred)
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Industrial wiring and controls
- Electrical diagnostic tools (multimeters, megohmmeters)
- Ability to read ladder logic diagrams and schematics
- Experience with automation, robotics, or HMI systems is a plus
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Flexibility to work overtime or on-call as needed
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to work in an industrial environment (heat, noise, moving equipment)
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent
- Experience in metal fabrication or heat exchanger manufacturing
- Familiarity with CMMS systems
- Stable, growing manufacturing environment
